Former world tennis No.8 Alicia Molik will make her long-awaited return to the WTA singles tour in January after being granted a wildcard into the main draw of the 2010 Moorilla Hobart International.

The 28-year-old, currently ranked 309 in the world, retired from tennis last year but returned to the sport in April, building her fitness base before competing in a number of low-key events in Australia.

Molik has set her sights on competing in all four grand slams in 2010 and believes the January 8-16 Hobart International will provide her with the perfect platform to launch a successful assault at the Australian Open.
