The New Zealand cricketers will be without all-rounder Jacob Oram and pace bowler Kyle Mills for the first Twenty20 against Pakistan in Dubai tomorrow morning.

Oram is returning to New Zealand to be with his wife Mara, who is expecting the couple's first child soon and may be having the baby early.

Mills has a shoulder injury but may be available for the second match on Saturday morning.

James Franklin, who has been sidelined with a back injury during the first part of the UAE series, came through a light practice overnight and may be available for the Twenty20 matches.
