Wallabies bring in Pocock

11:48 am on 12 November 2009

Australia's coach Robbie Deans has named flanker David Pocock in place of George Smith for the match against Ireland on Sunday, the only change to the lineup that started against England.

Smith moves to the bench, allowing 21-year-old Pocock to make his fifth Test start and win his 14th cap.

Deans says the Wallabies will have to raise their performance from Sunday's 18-9 win at Twickenham they face the Six Nations champions in Dublin.

He says Irish are fielding a more established and experienced combination than England could and are used to winning.

Ireland have beaten Australia in two of their last three encounters on Irish soil - 18-9 in 2002 and 21-6 in 2006.
