Killen enjoying the expectation of success

All Whites striker Chris Killen is embracing the weight of expectation that could see New Zealand advance to the football world cup for the first time in almost 30 years.

Killen, who plays for Scottish club Celtic, will be part of a three-pronged attack line that coach Ricki Herbert looks set to emply again as he did in New Zealand's nil-all draw in the opening leg in Bahrain.

He'll be joined up front by Shane Smeltz and Rory Fallon feels foootball followers are right to demand a place at the tournament in South Africa next year.

Killen says hopefully they can get an early goal and then take on the pressure that will benefit them and New Zealand football.
