Brown under par but well down Hong Kong leaderboard

The Wellington golfer Mark Brown had a 2-under par 68 on the first day of the Hong Kong Open at Fanling, but that was good enough only for a share of 40th place.
The surprise leader in a field of European tour stars is Thailand's Udorn Duangdecha who had a 62.
