The New Zealand Breakers have returned to the winners' circle in the Australian National Basketball League with an 83-74 victory over the table-topping Perth Wildcats at the North Shore Events Centre.
Four days after a 74-94 loss in Perth, the Breakers led through-out and also gave their fans something to cheer about in the wake of their first home loss of the season to the Gold Coast Blaze.
The New Zealanders were comprehensively outshot and outrebounded across the Tasman on Sunday but managed to reverse that trend.
The Breakers shooting percentage improved along with their rebounds with Thomas Abercrombie again underlined his growing stature in the ANBL, scoring a game-high 23 points while team-mate Oscar Forman found some form with 18.
The Breakers improved to a 5 and 5 record and 5th on the table while the Wildcards drop to second in the standings.
