Huddersfield's New Zealand rugby league international Paul Whatuira is due to report for pre-season training next week after being released from a specialist mental health unit.
The 28-year-old centre was arrested a month ago following an alleged attack on two men near Huddersfield town centre but a police spokeswoman has confirmed that he was released on October the 26th and that no further action will be taken against him.
Whatuira, who has won 16 caps for New Zealand, joined Huddersfield from Wests Tigers at the start of the 2008 season and was in their Challenge Cup final team at Wembley in August.
