Pakistan still unbeaten by Black Caps in 20/20

Pakistan's cricketers overcame a late order flurry from New Zealand to win the second Twenty20 international by seven runs in Dubai.

They won the two-match series 2-0.

Teenager Umer Akmal's maiden half century lifted Pakistan to 153 for 5 before they survived a late charge by Brendon McCullum (47) and Scott Styris (43).

McCullum's knock made him the highest run scorer in 20/20 history.

The stand-in captain says New Zealand bowlers did a good job and the team just didn't get that one big batting over they needed at the end.

Pakistan, who won the first match by 49 runs, have now won all four Twenty20 matches against the Black Caps.

Once McCullum holed out to off-spinner Saeed Ajmal in the 19th over, New Zealand's task of making 18 in the last over proved too difficult.

Both teams now travel to New Zealand where they play three Tests with the first Test starting in Dunedin from November 24th.
