Goalkeeper Mark Paston pulled off the greatest save of his career to help to the All Whites through to their first appearance at a football world cup in almost 30 years.
Paston's penalty save early in the second half, helped the All Whites to a one nil win over Bahrain in their final world cup qualifier in Wellington last night.
Rory Fallon scored the only goal of the game, with a header just before halftime.
Paston dived to his right to make the save, but says it was sheer luck.
