Shaw back in England rugby squad

The London Wasps lock Simon Shaw has re-joined the England rugby squad for this weekend's test against the All Blacks in a bid by team manager Martin Johnson to add some experience to his depleted pack.

Shaw, who has won more than 50 international caps, was outstanding during the British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa this year but missed England's matches against Australia and Argentina this month through a foot injury.

The 36-year-old will be joined in the squad by Bath's David Flatman, who will provide cover in the loosehead prop position.

Johnson, whose side were booed off at halftime during the unconvincing 16-9 win over Argentina on Sunday, has been hampered by injuries to most of his first-choice pack and Shaw's availability will be a major boost.
