Boyle set a new Games record time of four minutes 4.47 seconds to win the 400 metres freestyle.

Jazz Carlin of Wales, who won the 800 gold, finished second and Bronte Barratt of Australia was third.

Boyle, who qualified fastest, was in front for most of the race, led by a length with a hundred to swim and held on for a comfortable victory.

Boyle won a silver medal in the 800 freestyle.

She says she was very happy with the win and didn't want to finish second again.

Pascoe followed it up with a gold medal in her class in the 200 individual medley.

The Olympic champion and world record holder recorded a comfortable win, though Pascoe says she's had a few health issues this week and so her aim was just to win, and she wasn't concerned about times.

The 21-year-old won gold in the 100 breastroke SB9 final earlier in the Games programme.
