Vettori falls one run short of fifth test century

Dan Vettori's fallen one run short of his fifth test century, dismissed for 99 with the New Zealand cricketers 404 for eight in the first test against Pakistan in Dunedin.

Play resumed after a three and a half hour rain delay, just after 6.30pm, with Vettori moving through from 87 to 99 before being dismissed caught behind off the bowling of Umar Gul.

Earlier Brendan McCullum made 78, putting on 164 for the seventh wicket with Vettori with New Zealand having started the day at 276 for six.

When bad light forced players from the field just after 7pm Shane Bond was on eight Iain O'Brien two.
