Windies woes continue with Taylor out for Test series

The West Indies' cricketers' dreadful tour of Australia has copped another blow with pace spearhead Jerome Taylor ruled out of the rest of the three-Test series.

A Windies spokesman says the injured Taylor is going home and the selectors are deciding on a replacement player.

The 25-year-old Jamaican broke down after bowling only nine overs on the opening day of the first Test thrashing at the Gabba.

Taylor's loss will almost certainly see Gavin Tonge play in the second Test in Adelaide after he impressed on debut for the weakened Windies side which lost at home to Bangladesh in August when the front-liners were missing due to a contract dispute.

In more promising news, the Windies say key batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan is recovering well from his back injury and is expected to be fit to play in Adelaide.
