Roosters sack Warriors

The New Zealand Warriors have been knocked out of the the top eight play-off places in the National Rugby League following Sunday's 46-12 thrashing by the Sydney Roosters.

Ahead 16-6 at half-time, the Premiers sacked Mount Smart stadium seven tries to two.

Sydney, who were buoyed by the return of Sonny Bill Williams from a broken thumb, have risen to third on the ladder while the Warriors have dropped to 10th.

Just two weeks are left in the regular season, with the Gold Coast and Penrith the Warriors' remaining opponents.
