Neighbours say Tiger's injuries were accidental

6:52 pm on 2 December 2009

The lawyer for neighbours who called emergency services the night of Tiger Woods' car crash last weekend says his injuries were consistent with a minor car accident, rather than from a beating.

While the world's most famous athlete has declined to speak to police about the accident, and amid swirling speculation about a domestic dispute, the neighbours lawyer Bill Sharpe has told a news conference in Orlando that none of Woods injuries suggested he had been beaten up by his wife. Neighbour Jerome Adams is a retired doctor.

The Florida Highway Patrol have scheduled a news conference on the accident for 9 o'clock.
