FIFA's president Sepp Blatter has apologised to the Republic of Ireland for going public with details of their request for a 33rd place at next year's World Cup finals.
Blatter has also revealed that Thierry Henry will be the subject of a disciplinary investigation regarding his handball incident against Ireland which got France a place in next year's finals.
In the meantime FIFA have ruled out the introduction of goal-line assistant referees at next year's showpiece in South Africa.
