A triathlon targeted at Maori people and similar to New Zealand's half ironman event has taken place in Napier.
More than 300 people entered the first year of IronMaori at the Pandora pond.
An organiser of the event, Heather Skipworth, says the name IronMaori was chosen to attract Maori but was open to everyone.
Competitors had to finish a 21-kilometre run, 90 kilometres on bike and 2.5 kilometre swim within 10 and a half hours.
