New Zealand has finished in a share of 22nd place at the World Amateur Teams Golf Championship in Japan.
New Zealand team began the fianl day in a share of 38th place at the Eisenhower Trophy and climbed 16 places after carding a seven-under par team total at the Iriyama Course.
New Zealand finished at 15-under for the tournament, 23 shots behind winners the the United States who held off Canada by two strokes to defend their title.
The New Zealand amateur champion Manawatu's Joshua Munn playing in his first Eisenhower, was the leading New Zealander at the tournament.

New Zealand has won the Eisenhower Trophy once when the team of Phil Tataurangi, Michael Campbell, Stephen Scahill and Grant Moorhead were victorious in Canada in 1992.
Tataurangi claimed the individual title that year with New Zealand beating a US team that included future PGA Tour stars David Duval and Justin Leonard.
