The Wellington Phoenix will be without star goalkeeper Mark Paston for the next six weeks after it was revealed he's broken his leg.
Paston suffered the injury just over a fortnight ago and missed a match, but then played last week against Melbourne thinking he just had a dead leg.
However scans have revealed a fractured tibia and he's undergone surgery.
Young keeper Reece Crowther started his sixth A-League match against Sydney in Palmerston North on Saturday night, while the former Socceroo Jon McKain returned from injury in place of the suspended defender Ben Sigmund.
