Tauranga golfer Josh Geary's tied for seventh at the Australian PGA at Coolum after a three under par final round of 68.
Geary finished seven shots off the winner, the local Robert Allenby, who took the championship by four strokes from fellow Australians John Senden and Scott Strange.
After a four-year gap between titles, Allenby's five under 66 gave him his second victory in two weeks. Last week he won a tournament in South Africa, bypassing the Australian Open following his criticism of the organisers last year.
Mahal Pearce was the next best of the other New Zealanders on two under in a tie for 24th.
Tim Wilkinson was 35th equal and David Smail in a share of 66th.
