The New Zealand men's hockey team has won the Champions Challenge tournament beating Pakistan 4-2 in the final in Argentina.

It was 2-all at half time with Phil Burrows and Ryan Archibald scoring in the first half, while Burrows and Nick Wilson sealed the match late in the second half.

The inexpereinced Black Sticks defence did well, especially keeping out all but 1 of Pakistan's 7 penalty corners.

New Zealand now qualify for next year's elite Champions Trophy tournament in Germany.
