The International Tennis Federation says the Belgian court injunction suspending Yanina Wickmayer's one-year ban for doping-related violations doesn't mean she's free to compete again.
Organisers of Auckland ASB classic next month are keen to confirm Wickmayer as a wildcard entry for their tournament, after the US Open semifinalist, and Xavier Malisse had their doping bans susopended yesterday by a Belgian court.
But an ITF spokesman says both players are currently banned under the rules of the programme.
The ITF is waiting to hear from the Belgian national anti-doping agency before it can make a formal ruling.
