The New Zealand swimmer Melissa Ingram registered a third New Zealand record at the Queensland State Champs in Brisbane, this time in 200 metre backstroke final.
Ingram posted a time of just over 2 minutes and 9 seconds in finishing second, two-tenths of a second inside her previous New Zealand record and more than two seconds inside the qualifying time for next year's Commonwealth Games.
The latest effort comes on top of records she set in the 200 metre and 400 metre freestyle.
