The Premier League footballer Ryan Giggs has signed a one-year contract extension that will prolong his stay at Manchester United beyond the 20-year mark to at least 2011.
The 36-year-old Welsh winger joined United in 1990 and has since made more than 800 appearances for the club.
Giggs was named the BBC's Sports Personality of 2009 earlier this month as well as being adjudged the Professional Footballers' Association's top player in April for his role in leading United to a third successive championship.
