Strauss says drawn test one of the most exciting

The England captain Andrew Strauss says the drawn first test against South Africa in Centurion was one of the most exciting games of cricket he's been involved in.

England were Chasing 346 to win and on 169 for 3 at tea the match had looked certain to end in a draw.

However the English batting lineup folded like a house of cards to leave the tourists on 228 for 8 with 19 balls left to face.

Last man Graham Onions played out a tense final over as England escaped with the draw and Strauss says the match was one of the best in recent history.

The second test is on Boxing Day in Durban.
