The chairman of English football club Leicester City has been charged with tax evasion.

The charges will be brought against Milan Mandaric next year and relate to a 2002 incident when he was the chairman of Portsmouth.

Mandaric denies the claim that no tax was paid on a personal payment he made to the then Tottenham Hotspur manager, Harry Redknapp, that year.

Redknapp is also facing charges.
