ODI between India and Sri Lanka called off due to pitch

Updated at 11:58 am on 28 December 2009

The fifth and final one-day international between Sri Lanka and India has been abandoned after more than 20 overs were played, due to the unfit nature of the pitch at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium.

The pitch was deemed too dangerous to play on due to unpredictable bounce.

The decision to end the match early enabled India to win the series 3-1.
