Dispute at national fastpitch softball competition settled

10:06 am on 30 December 2009

The second semi finalist at the men's national fastpitch softball competition has been settled after a dispute over points allocation during round robin play initially left it in limbo.

Southern Pride had queried the value of bonus points allocated from round robin to section play but their interpretation hasn't been accepted.

The southerners will now play off for and fifth and sixth place.

The semi finals have Canterbury currently facing Auckland and later Hutt Valley will take on North Harbour.

Meanwhile the women are completing round robin play to find who will face Hutt Valley in today's final.
