Members of the boxing, rugby, yachting and motor racing fraternities have been recognised in the New Year Honours.
Kevin Barry senior has been made an Officer of the NZ Order of Merit for services to boxing, a sport he's been involved in for 45 years.
He was was first recognised in 1995 when he was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire.
The double Olympic medallist Rex Sellers, has been made a Member of the NZ Order of Merit for services to yachting.
He won a gold medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and silver four years later in Seoul.
Ian Jones, the third most capped All Black, has also been made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit as has motor racing driver Craig Baird.
