The teenage New Zealand golfer Lydia Ko has moved up five places into a tie for 5th after the third round of the last LPGA event of the year in Florida and remains in contention for a $1 million bonus.

The 17-year-old fired third round four under par 68 to be six under for the tournament, three strokes behind the leader Julieta Granada of Paraguay.

Ko is one of three players who could pick up $US1.5 million if they win this tournament.

Half a million US dollars is up for grabs for the winner, while either Ko, Stacey Lewis or Inbee Park could get a million dollar bonus for finishing the year as the top player.
