The victory lifts the Taipans to top spot and increases the pressure on the Breakers with four games to go, with the minor premiership guaranteeing home advantage right through the playoffs.

The two teams clash in their final game of the season at Vector Arena on Sunday February the 22nd.

The Breakers also face the Crocodiles next up in Townsville on Saturday before hosting Adelaide on Thursday the 12th of February, then the New Zealand side visits Perth that Sunday.

On Sunday, Perth also beat visitors Sydney 80-61 to hold onto third, while fourth-placed Adelaide kept the pressure on with an 84-77 home win over second-bottom Townsville.
