The Gold Coast Titans held a three-hour crisis meeting following the NRL club's return from a pre-season trial in Cairns with Bird, Taylor and outside back Kalifa Faifai Loa all ordered to appear in court.

Queensland's Crime and Corruption Commission had already charged four other players including the star Queensland Reds recruit Karmichael Hunt with charges of supplying cocaine.

Gold Coasts chief executive Graham Annesley has said regardless of the outcome of their legal cases, the players are in danger of having their contracts ripped up.
