The Victorian golfer Kristopher Mueck isn't that confident of holding onto his course record going into round two of the New Zealand PGA championship at the Remuera course in Auckland.

Mueck took advantage of ideal early morning conditions on the opening day to post an eight under par 64 despite a limited preparation on the Auckland layout, which he says was probably an advantage.
He's two shots clear of New Zealand's Josh Geary, with fellow local Nick Gillespie another shot back in a tie for third place.
New Zealand number one Ryan Fox is tied for 17th, five shots from the lead.
