No rest for Canes' All Blacks

Hurricanes coach Chris Boyd won't be resting any All Blacks ahead of Sunday's clash with the Reds in Brisbane.

Boyd has kept the line-up almost identical to that which lost their first game of the season last week against the champion New South Wales Waratahs.

However, a calf injury to Nehe Milner-Skudder has left him out of selection contention, making way for James Marshall at fullback.

Matt Proctor also comes back into the starting line-up, with Cory Jane moving to the bench.

Victor Vito (calf), Dane Coles (elbow), and Blade Thomson (concussion) remain on the injury list.

First five Beauden Barrett needs two points to surpass David Holwell's record of 676 and become the Hurricanes' leading point scorer of all time.

Meanwhile, Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder has made four changes for their ANZAC Day derby against the Blues on Saturday night at AMI Stadium.

Ryan Crotty's recovered from his head knock and will start at centre, while Mitchell Drummond is the halfback with Andy Ellis and Kieron Fonotia moving into the reserves.

In the forward pack, Codie Taylor starts at hooker this week, while Owen Franks is the tighthead prop, with Ben Funnell and Nepo Laulala shifting onto the bench.

Blues coach Sir John Kirwan's resting his captain Jerome Kaino this week, while fellow All Blacks Charles Piutau and James Parsons, who have played every game so far this season, have also been given a week off.

Hooker Keven Mealamu captains the side, while fellow All Black forward Steven Luatua returns at No.8 after his week off.

Northland hooker Matt Moulds has been named on the bench and is in line for his Super Rugby debut.
