The Warriors have been beaten by the Gold Coast Titans 32-28 in the first ANZAC Day match the club has ever hosted at Mount Smart stadium.
Three first half tries to Warriors David Fusitua, Ben Matulino and Jonathan Wright gave the home team the half-time lead 18-12, before the visitors mounted a comeback.
The loss of the Warriors' second rower Ryan Hoffman to a head knock in the 46th minute seemed to be the turning point in the game as the Titans ran in four second half tries for a total of six, including a double to halfback Kane Elgey.
Down by 14 points and inspired by a crowd of 15,102, the home side launched a fightback of their own in the final 10 minutes with tries to Solomone Kata and Bodene Thompson, but the Warriors ran out of time before they could close the gap.
