McCullum continues IPL form

A blistering Brendon McCullum knock has helped lift Chennai back to the top of the Indian Premier League cricket table with a 12 run win over Rajasthan in Chennai.

Batting first, McCullum top scored for Chennai blasting 81 runs off 61 balls as the hosts reached 157 for 5 from their 20 overs.

The Black Caps skipper hit seven fours and four sixes in his match winning innings.

In reply Rajasthan fell just short of the victory target finishing their 20 overs on 145 for 9, with none of the visitors' batsmen scoring over 30 runs.

In this morning's other match the South Africa batsman AB de Villiers smashed an unbeaten 133 off just 59 balls as Bangalore claimed a 39 run win over the Black Caps paceman Mitchell McClenaghan's Mumbai.

De Villiers hit 19 fours and four sixes in his astonishing innings and was ably assisted by Indian batsman Virat Kohli who scored an unbeaten 82 runs off 50 balls.

McClenaghan took no wickets and scored 12 runs not out for Mumbai.
