A missed penalty has denied the New Zealand women's footballers a victory over hosts Canada at their World Cup in Edmonton.
The Football Ferns were awarded a 32nd minute penalty when striker Hannah Wilkinson was tripped in the penalty area - but fellow forward Amber Hearn hit the crossbar.
The Canadians also had a goal rightfully disallowed for offside before half-time, while Ferns goalkeeper Erin Naylor's oustanding full-stretch tip onto the crossbar after half-time kept the scores level at 0-0.
And that's the way it stayed.
The players were forced off the field early on for 25 minutes after severe wet weather hit the stadium, with threats of lightning.
The New Zealanders lost their opening game 1-0 to The Netherlands.
A win over China in Tuesday's final pool game could be enough for the Ferns to reach the next round.
