Australia's cricket captain Ricky Ponting will continue to undergo treatment on his injured elbow after being troubled during the win over Pakistan in the first Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Ponting experienced more pain than he expected while batting on Boxing Day, dating back to the injury he suffered when struck by a delivery from the West Indies' Kemar Roach in Perth before Christmas.
But he's declared himself a certain starter for the second Test against Pakistan in Sydney on Sunday.
