Auckland golfer Ryan Fox will have to wait to finish his second round at the British Open major in Scotland, which has been badly affected by high winds and torrential rain.
Fox is just above the projected cut at St Andrews on even par overall through six holes, and will return early on the third day to complete his round.

Rotorua's Danny Lee is three strokes outside the cut mark of even par after he finished his round early on with a two over par 74.
But Lee's in good company - American great Tiger Woods is also set to miss the cut, he's five over par overall through 11 holes, and looking very unlikely to make the weekend.
Fellow American Dustin Johnson leads England's Danny Willett, who shot a 69, by one stroke through 13 holes.

Darkness ended play just before 10pm with several groups still out on the course.
Torrential rain flooded the Old Course at St Andrews early on, leaving many of the greens, fairways and bunkers underwater, while high winds gusting up to 50km/h made low scoring extremely difficult.
Even stronger winds gusting up to 80km/h are forecast and the Royal and Ancient organisers will face a difficult task to get the tournament finished on schedule by Monday morning, NZT.
The second round looks certain to be carried over until the weekend and it will then be tough to cram the final 36 holes into the two remaining scheduled days.
"It could be Armageddon-type stuff by the looks of the weather forecast," said Britain's Willett. "When the wind and rain gets up it can be a lottery."
The Open was also hampered by bad weather when it was last held at St Andrews in 2010, with dangerous high winds creating havoc in the second round.
