Storm's Jesse Bromwich on report

8:34 am on 27 July 2015

An alleged bite from the Melbourne Storm's Kiwi prop, Jesse Bromwich, on St George Illawarra star, Josh Dugan, will be a priority case for the National Rugby League match review committee.

By midday Sunday, the committee had at least five incidents to investigate from round 20.

Bromwich was put on report over the allegation from the NSW fullback in the 69th minute of the Storm's 22-4 win in Napier on Saturday.

Dugan immediately pointed to his arm as he freed himself from the Kiwi prop's tackle.

He complained during a break in play to referee Matt Cecchin who placed the incident on report.

Wests Tigers prop Martin Taupau's swinging arm on James Maloney late in Sydney Roosters' 33-8 win on Friday night will also be scrutinised.

Taupau was put on report and sin-binned following the 76th minute incident.

Commentators described Taupau's hit as a "cheap shot", while Roosters coach Trent Robinson thought it was "unnecessary".

A late shot from Brisbane's Adam Blair on Gold Coast playmaker Kane Elgey in the Broncos' big win on Friday night will also be looked at by match review coordinator Michael Buettner and his team.

A high shot from Josh Hoffman on Broncos centre Jordan Kahu could also be the subject of sanctions.

Newcastle playmaker Tyrone Roberts was put on report for a dangerous throw in the Knights' heavy loss to South Sydney on Saturday night.
