Roger Federer will face top seed Novak Djokovic in the US Open tennis final, after Federer clinically dispatched fellow Swiss Stan Wawrinka in straight sets.
Federer continues his record as the only player not to drop a set in New York this year as the second seed saw off Wawrinka 6-4 6-3 6-1 to book a rematch of his Flushing Meadows final back in 2007, when he beat Djokovic in the Serb's first-ever major title match.

Djokovic finally won his only US Open crown in 2011 - his most successful year until 2015, when he also won the Australian Open and Wimbledon - beating Spanish great Rafael Nadal in the final.
Standing in the 28-year-old's way on Monday however is a rejuvenated Federer, bidding to win his sixth US Open and eclipse the record he currently shares with American greats Jimmy Connors and Pete Sampras, who also won five each.
Federer had won every US Open final from 2004-2008 until he met Juan Martin del Potro in the 2009 decider, when the Argentine ended the 34-year-old's five-year reign at the American grand slam.
Federer hadn't made the final again until now - but after the 17-time major champion dismantled French Open champion Wawrinka in just over an hour and a half, his sixth meeting with Djokovic in a final this year promises to be a blockbuster.
The last time they clashed, Federer beat the world No.1 to win the Cincinnatti title.
Earlier, Djokovic crushed defending US Open champion Marin Cilic 6-0 6-1 6-2 in the most one-sided US Open semi-final in professional tennis history, to secure passage to his fourth consecutive grand slam final.

The Serb, playing on the same court where women's world number one Serena Williams and Romanian second seed Simona Halep crashed out of the tournament earlier, needed just 85 minutes to bring Cilic's title defence to an end.
With the rout, Djokovic ran his record to 14-0 against the ninth-seeded Croat and moved one win away from adding to his 2015 grand slam triumphs at Melbourne Park and the All England Club.
