The Highlanders rugby union Super 14 squad will travel to Fiji and play a pre-season game in Lautoka.
The Suva Rugby Union had invited the Blues and the Highlanders for a build-up game and while the Blues declined the offer, the Highlanders have picked up the invitation.
The Highlanders are confirmed to arrive in Nadi on Thursday 28th , they will play a Suva President's XV on Saturday 30th in Lautoka before flying back home on Sunday the 31st.
The Chiefs were the last New Zealand Super rugby side to visit Fiji in 1999.
Fiji has had a good connection with the the Highlanders with Fijians like Iliesa Tanivula, Manasa Bari, Aisea Tuilevu and Seru Rabeni having worn the franchise jumper.
