The veteran Brisbane forward Sam Thaiday says Sunday's National Rugby League grand final will be a different experience for him compared to the match 9 years ago when he won his first Premiership.

The Broncos have arrived in Sydney to prepare for the decider against North Queensland.

30-year-old Thaiday, Corey Parker, retiring skipper Justin Hodges and Darius Boyd are the sole survivors from their 2006 grand final triumph over Melbourne.

Thaiday said he's worked hard to play in another decider.

"It's been a long nine years waiting, we've given ourselves a chance now to try and win another one and I'm just going to really enjoy and soak up this week.

"I think I was a little bit young last time, I was kind of riding on the coattails of a few older, senior players," Thaiday said.
