Arsenal kept alive their hopes of reaching the Champions League last 16 for a 16th straight season when they beat Dinamo Zagreb 3-0.

Arsenal ripped Dinamo apart in the first half, taking a grip with two goals in four minutes from Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez who added a third in the second half.

Arsenal were helped by Bayern Munich beating Olympiakos Piraeus 4-nil in the other Group F game.

The results mean that while Bayern are through to the knockout round, Arsenal, whose chances looked slim after defeats by Dinamo, Olympiakos and Bayern, will join them if they beat Olympiakos by two clear goals in Greece in a fortnight.

Chelsea scored a 4-0 win over 10-man Maccabi Tel Aviv to move into prime position to reach the knockout stages from Group G.

But with Dynamo Kiev winning 2-0 at Porto, the qualifiers for the last 16 will only be determined in the last round of matches when Chelsea host Porto and Kiev welcome Maccabi.

Barcelona's Luis Suarez hit a brace and set up a double for Lionel Messi to score in his first start after injury in a rampant 6-1 group E victory over AS Roma.

The win ensured Barca go through to the last 16 in first place in Group E.
