Webster flies out tonight heading to Greece where he will suit up for ASA Koroivos Amaliadas in the Greek A1 competition.

The call is something of an SOS to Webster, with the hot shooting guard being brought in to add some spark and hopefully help the club make a late run and avoid relegation.

Breakers General manager Dillon Boucher says Webster's reputation opens these sorts of doors.

"Corey has established himself as one of the world's premier shooting guards, both with the Breakers but also the national team - in particular with his performances at the 2014 FIBA World Cup.

"The club welcomes these chances for players to take their skills overseas for short term deals provided there is no compromise to the players welfare. It is also our experience that these sorts of opportunities can see players get better and learn from a different environment and bring that knowledge back to the Breakers, helping us be a better team and organization."

ASA Koroivos is currently 3rd to bottom on the A1 table and in need of a spark, one that the 'microwave' can certainly provide with his renowned scoring ability.

Webster leaves with the blessing of the club, with the spell in Greece also a way for Webster to stay in shape and in rhythm with a busy international season in prospect as the Tall Blacks look to quality for the Rio Olympic Games.
