Pakistan coach dropped for England Twenty20s

Pakistan cricket is in further turmoil following last month's humiliating humiliating test and one-day series whitewash in Australia last month.

Their coach Intikhab Alam has been stood down for two Twenty20 matches coming up against England, although the Pakistan Board insists he hasn't been sacked.

And one of their senior players, wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal will also sit out the next two games, although a Board spokesman says Akmal's been rested to make way for younger players.

The PCB have ordered a six-man committee to review the team's performances in Australia and the team manager and captain Mohammad Yousuf have been orded to appear for questioning this Friday and Saturday.

The chief selector Iqbal Qasim has already resigned following the defeat in Australia, refusing to reverse his decision despite a request from the PCB.

Shoaib Malik, who was sacked as captain 12 months ago, returns to lead the team in the Twenty20 games in Dubai late next week.
