New Zealand happy with 2nd ODI win

Updated at 6:06 am on 9 February 2010

The New Zealand cricket captain Daniel Vettori says he's happy with their effort apart from their death bowling in taking out the second one-day international against Bangladesh in Dunedin.

The BlackCaps won by 5 wickets, chasing down 184 in the 28th over with Ross Taylor making 78.

Bangladesh were 25 for 5 and 46 for 6 at onestage before recovering to make 183 thanks to a 101 run seventh wicket stand between Naeem (Pron Nye-eem) Islam and Mushfiqur Rahim, who top-scored with 86.

Vettori doesn't believe they let Bangladesh off the hook as 300 runs is possible at the University Oval.

Vettori also believes their bowling in the last few overs needs to improve if they're to be competitive against Australia later this month.

The win gives New Zealand the three match series, with game three in Christchurch on Thursday.
