Last night the Phoenix disappointing A-League football season ended in a whimper with a 2-nil loss to the Western Sydney Wanderers in Wellington.
It was the final game of the season for the Phoenix, who finish second to last in the ten team competition with only seven wins from 27 games.
It was the last match for two of their defensive stalwarts, Ben Sigmund, who's retiring and Manny Muscat, who's signed a two year deal with Melbourne City.
