Good start for NZ rowing crews

New Zealand crews have made a promising start to the last chance Olympic qualifying rowing regatta in Switzerland.

The men's and women's quad and the women's single sculler Emma Twigg all won their heats, the quads qualify for their respective finals, while Twigg goes into the semi-finals.

The men's lightweight double were third in their heat and qualify for the semi-finals and the men's four were third and go into the repechage.

Twigg needs to finish in the top three to qualify for Rio.... while all the other crews need to finish in the top two.

New Zealand has already qualified nine boat classes for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
