The Black Caps coach Mike Hesson has re-signed with New Zealand Cricket until after the 2019 World Cup.
The Black Caps are currently ranked number one in the world in Twenty20 cricket, second in the one day rankings and fifth on the test ladder.
Hesson said coaching the New Zealand side is a challenge that still excites and motivates him.
"Being around a group which works together and is striving to head in the same direction is extremely rewarding," he said.

Hesson will retain the same management group with former international Craig McMillan remaining assistant coach, Mike Sandle as manager and trainer Chris Donaldson.
"We have a new leader in Kane which will bring some changes and that's something to be excited by, too," said Hesson.
"Kane has his own style and philosophy, but it's also important that he has the support which allows him and the team to thrive."
The next assignment for the Black Caps is the tour of South African and Zimababe in July and August.

New Zealand Cricket chief executive David White said the re-appointment of Hesson was positive in terms of succession planning and preparation for upcoming major events.
"Mike's the most successful coach in New Zealand cricket history and, in my opinion, the best selector we've ever had," he said.
"To have him committed to the Black Caps until after the next world cup is great news for all concerned."
